| Arno Patin has been passionately involved with musical instruments technology and business since 1979. He first studied the trade at the Institute for Musical Instruments Technology in Cremona, Italy. After working in numerous piano and organ shops and factories in Germany, France and the United States, he established his own workshop in Paris in 1991 where he specialized in piano servicing and historical restorations. He also continued his research in musical acoustics, structural engineering, and instrument design, and eventually began preparing instruments for professional pianists.
After moving to the United States in 2003, he established the ARNO PATIN Studios LLC in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The new workshop is dedicated to servicing and restoring fine American and European pianos, and to developing techniques which improve sound quality and musical expressivity.
The music studio is used for music lessons and piano master classes and features a 1903 Hamburg Steinway 9’ Concert Grand.

Arno is a classical pianist and a translator (German-French-English-Italian), specializing in Piano Technology.
