Ten years of research and testing have provided a method to leave the original Hungarian tuning system unchanged , while improving the playing and tone performance in the following ways: • A lengthened string scale: To reduce the stiffness, a new string scaling has been implemented according to a rational and homogeneous progression of inharmonicity • A monobloc cast iron frame: To provide an extremely accurate structure and permit stable tuning. • A precise fine tuning: This is possible, due to positioning the nuts individually parallel to the bridges. Thus, each choir section may be fine tuned within or beyond equal temperament. • The sostenuto pedal: This is enhanced by the addition of individually adjustable damper heads. Moreover, the entire pedal action is perfectly silent. • The range: The range is enlarged up to five chromatic octaves, AA to a4. The ARNO® Concert Cimbalom is designed and built to the highest standard of European piano technology. It's fine lutherie, natural tone richness and powerfull color will contribute to the success and enjoyment of soloists in concert halls, as well as in recording studios.
